Lou & Jacob’s Wedding Day – From St Dennis Church to The Pitch Sports Bar

Some wedding days simply hum with joy from start to finish—and Lou & Jacob’s was one of those rare and wonderful celebrations. From the timeless beauty of St Dennis Church to the relaxed, laughter-filled reception at The Pitch Sports Bar, their day was a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple: warm, welcoming, and ready to celebrate surrounded by the people they love most.

A Ceremony Steeped in Tradition

The morning began in the heart of St Dennis, where the village’s historic church stood proudly against a bright Cornish sky. Guests gathered beneath the ancient stone archways, their voices hushed as Lou made her entrance. She was radiant, her gown flowing in soft layers that caught the light through the stained glass, while Jacob stood at the altar—his smile giving away a mix of excitement and love.

The ceremony was heartfelt and personal, with readings chosen for their deep meaning and music that filled every corner of the church. When Lou & Jacob exchanged vows, it felt as though time slowed just for them.

A Toast to New Beginnings

After a flurry of confetti and congratulations on the church steps, the newlyweds led the way to their reception at The Pitch Sports Bar. The shift in atmosphere was electric—where the church had been serene and reverent, the reception was instantly buzzing with energy. Guests clinked glasses, the bar flowed with drinks, and the hum of chatter grew into a soundtrack of celebration.

Laughter, Stories & Shared Moments

The Pitch Sports Bar brought its own unique charm to the day: big screens for impromptu sports highlights, relaxed seating for catching up with old friends, and plenty of space for laughter to spill across the room. The speeches were a highlight—both touching and comedic—drawing happy tears and roars of laughter in equal measure.

As plates cleared and the evening drew on, the dance floor came alive. From the couple’s first dance to the infectious group numbers that followed, it was a night that invited everyone to join in and make memories.

Capturing the Heart of the Day

Photographing Lou & Jacob’s wedding was a joy from start to finish. The graceful quiet of the church, the jubilant energy of the reception, the candid moments between guests—each told a piece of their story. One of my favourite frames is of the two of them walking hand-in-hand down a side street in St Dennis, grinning as if they were the only two people in the world.

A Celebration to Remember

Lou & Jacob’s wedding was more than just a beautiful day—it was a reflection of the love and community that surrounds them. We’re so grateful to have been part of it, and we can’t wait to share the full gallery soon.
